Strengthen your connection with relationship counselling
Helping Relationships Grow Stronger - One Step at a Time
This is not an exhaustive list, you can bring whatever you want, but here are a few of the most common challenges that I help people navigate:
Communication Breakdowns - feeling misunderstood, unheard, or stuck. We can use tried and tested techniques to improve communication and listening skills to promote understanding and growth.
Trust Issues - recovering from betrayal, broken boundaries or hurt. I provide a non-judgemental, safe processing space to work through the painful aftermath and practical strategies for rebuilding trust again.
Conflict Resolution - long-standing disagreements and tension or resentment that won’t seem to go away. We can explore methods for managing and resolving conflicts more constructively.
Emotional Distance - growing apart or feeling disconnected from someone important to you. We can work together on developing empathy, enhancing emotional connection and promoting intimacy.
Life Transitions - struggling with those big changes. I support couples or family members facing significant life changes such as parenting, career changes, relocation or significant illness.
Financial Stress - feeling weighed down by money issues. we can address the practical elements of financial issues as well their impact on your relationship.
Why not start the conversation by getting in touch below.
Relationships are at the heart of our lives - but even the closest ones can become strained over time. Whether you’re navigating challenges with a partner, working through tensions with a parent or adult child or seeking healing in a sibling relationship, therapy offers a space to reconnect, understand, and grow together.
Relationship counselling offers a supportive, neutral space to explore what’s going on. We can work together on improving communication, resolving conflict or re-building trust. You might feel stuck in old patterns of behaviour or find yourself having the same old arguments on repeat, maybe you are carrying unresolved hurt or simply wanting something better and more fulfilling - whatever brings you here, change is possible.
Common relationship issues
In the first session you will be offered a warm drink and comfortable sofa before I talk you through how relationship therapy will work. Then you will have a space to talk and share what has brought you here. I understand that conversations can feel difficult, exposing and even become a little heated. I am here to help keep the conversation safe and constructive in a way that might not happen at home. Everyone will get a chance to speak and be heard - it is never about blame or taking sides - it is a space to understand everyone’s perspectives. And I am there to guide the conversation.
Services include couples therapy, marriage counselling, pre-marital counselling, therapy with adult family members and individual therapy for relationship issues (where one person can work through personal issues that affect their relationship).
What you can expect from N.E.W Therapy Centre

Who can benefit from relationship counselling?
If you are struggling in any adult relationship and need support with communication, conflict management, trust issues or just want to connect more deeply, then relationship therapy could well be for you.
How long does counselling take?
There’s no set time as every relationship is unique, but most couples tend to have between 4 & 12 sessions.
What happens if only one partner wants to attend counselling?
For relationship counselling to work, both parties need to not only attend but engage with the work and commit to the process. If one person is not ready, then you could opt for individual sessions to get the support you feel you need.
Is relationship counselling confidential?
Yes confidentiality is very important, what is said in the room, stays in the room. Whilst there are specific exceptions - such as someone being at risk of serious harm - therapy is a safe and private space for you both to talk freely and openly.
How do I schedule my first session?
The easiest way is to fill in a contact form on our contact page or use any of the many ‘contact’ and ‘get in touch’ buttons on our website. I always try to get back to you within 24 hours, as I understand waiting for a response can be difficult.
